Renee's son Tony sent the following e-mail just after Renee' pased away!
Renee' was kind, caring, and hilarious. She was always willing to sacrifice for the sake of others. She was the best mother anyone could ask for: encouraging, enthusiastic, patient, insightful and resourceful. She was a magnificent friend; always willing to lend an ear, and to offer helpful advice when warranted. She was the only one who could make me laugh when I was more inclined to cry--if she were only around today her death would be much easier. She will be sorely missed. Renee' died peacefully in her home. She was discovered leaning back in a recliner, with a book in her lap. While she did not have any known acute illnesses, she did have a significant cardiac history, having nearly died from a heart attack and subsequent complications in 1996. The last person known to speak with her said that she was as sharp and optimistic as ever. She apparently updated her profile on the class site the day before she died!
